Watch the YouTube explanation about the differences between the British educational system
and the American educational system above. Then read on. According to the Clerk of Courts website -- where D1 candidate Maureen Rupe has a few listings
of various types (check it out by typing her name into the search engine and changing the start
			date to 1990 here) --
Maureen Elizabeth Rupe was born in 1944. According to her own
			qualifications
page, she has no "college" education. The British education system is different from ours. According to Wikipedia.org,
			British education starts
when they are four at which time they enter a class called "Reception" and, "Primary school
education may be divided into Infant (ages 4-7) and Junior (ages 7-11) school." At age
11, according to the YouTube video above and Wikipedia, they take an exam, the equivalent to our
SATs. This determines what academic level they are to be put in and the rest of their
mandatory schooling focus. If they are gifted or deemed intelligent enough, they go
through the rest of their school years with "university" courses. If not, they are sent to schools (or given courses
in the same school) that are deemed less academically challenging. After the test
at age eleven, they go on to what is considered their "Secondary school". In Secondary School,

"Secondary school students also study vocational subjects
such as hairdressing and beauty, construction, woodwork and travel and tourism.
Private schools, and some Grammar schools also offer subjects such as Greek and
Latin."After that, at about age 16, they take another exam, the GCSE
and are graded on it. Those who do well, can go to what is called "college" in England.
According to the YouTube account, Wikipedia and a local contact who used to be a teacher
in the British educational system (a British born and raised citizen), "college" is their
equivalent to our Junior and Senior years in high school. "Students who do
the General Certificate of Secondary Education must study English, Mathematics,
Science, Physical Education, Religious Education. Schools then offer other
subjects that the students can choose to do."Also take into account, that (according to Wikipedia) "A student automatically progresses
to the next level of year and does not repeat the year even if the student has failed his
or her examinations." So we have an admission by the D1 County Commission candidate that
			"When I was 17 and
stubbornly refused to go to college...". In her world (England) that meant that
Maureen Rupe refused to go to what would
be the equivalent of our eleventh (junior) and twelfth (senior) grades in high school. She
was not saying that she refused to go to Baylor, Florida State, or Oxford. She was saying
that she basically finished with her education at the equivalent to our tenth grade level
and stopped all formal education after that. She did not pursue a formal degree anywhere in
England, nor did she pursue a formal college ("university" in England) degree anywhere in America. NOTE: Again,
Maureen Rupe has changed another page
after my commenting on her own words. She
changed her page by removing the statement referenced above. That does not mean that it was
not up there to begin with. It means that she is trying desperately to hide the fact that she has
no real college education. In fact, she has no education past the equivalent of our tenth
grade. No "college" (her words: "college" in England = our 11th & 12th grade years) education
for Maureen, no sirree, she "stubbornly refused"! And yet, when someone points that out, Candidate
Rupe decides to hide that fact from you. Do we want a D1 Commissioner who will hide her own words
from us? Do we want a D1 Commissioner who will try to obfuscate the truth? Do we want a D1
Commissioner with nothing more than a tenth grade education?! Check out her resume: nothing there
shows higher education. Nothing anywhere shows that she went further than our tenth grade equivalent.
			Is that who you want deciding your taxes? And now back to our regularly scheduled page.... Ask her if she has any sort of formal degree from a university or a school of higher learning;
even if she has a "pay for a degree" program via a "diploma mill". Ask her if she went to university
or even if she finished the equivalent of our high school. Don't take my word for it,
ask her. Don't let her say one thing and
give you the impression that she was thinking of "college" (in America, that's Harvard, Yale,
etc.), when in actuality, she was referring to her junior and senior years of high school. I find the statement,
"When I was 17 and stubbornly refused to go to college..." by Maureen
Rupe to be very misleading. She did not explain the differences in British education compared
to ours. She did not tell you that she stopped all formal education at age sixteen. Nor did
she tell you that it was the equivalent to our tenth grade (sophomore year) that
she had just finished. She led people to think that she was refusing to go to "college" (her word,
our meaning) at seventeen. Doesn't that sound a little misleading to you? Do you like that fact? Do you like being misled? Do you think it's appropriate for a person

trying to be elected to public office -- an office of public trust to try to mislead you
			for her own benefit?
Do you want to pay someone $58,308 (BOCC current salary) who will mislead you for her own benefit?
Do you think you'll be able to trust someone who will mislead you for her own benefit? Is Maureen Rupe someone you want in a position of trust and taxpayer funded benefits
when we have clearly seen on my other pages as well as this one, that Maureen Rupe is not
someone who tells the "truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth." She misleads,
obfuscates, lies, supports lies, and paints the best picture she can for herself and about
herself. On Maureen Rupe's "Issues" page
she says, "I have the background, experience and knowledge base...". Oh? Where did she get that
knowledge base? Tenth grade? Of course, she is a politician and I suppose that is to be expected. A question that comes
to my mind, though is how can Maureen Rupe run for public office when even Maureen Rupe
doesn't trust politicians? She proves it in a message dated 10/5/2007 9:22:59 P.M.:
"I'm not a politician so trust me." And now Maureen Rupe wants to be something even Maureen Rupe doesn't trust.
